WHEN IS EASTER ?
Well, it is dependent upon the Moon.
Lots of talk every year is the question “When is Easter?” and then “oh it’s late this year”, or “it’s early”. The answer to this question this year is Easter is this coming Sunday, April 5, 2026. It certainly took me by surprise. I’m up to my ears in a heavy calendar and getting things crossed off my to do list and then to realize we are already entering the fourth month of the year. EGADS.
Yes, the Moon, our beloved Moon, determines when Easter occurs. And it has, since the Council of Nicaea established the rule in 325AD. Easter is important to approximately one-third of the world’s population. It is right up there with Christmas and one of the most important calendar events of the year. This important event is set by the Moon’s orbital position, isn’t that cool?
Here is the procedure for determining when Easter occurs each year:
(1) We have the Spring (Vernal) Equinox - when we enter the season of Spring - marked by the Sun’s entry into the sign of Aries - typically March 20-22 of any given year.
(2) First Full Moon after the Equinox
(3) First Sunday after the Full Moon
This particular Full Moon has been known as the Pink Moon - here let this very dapper sort of AI guy tell you all about it:
Anyway, I’m not big on trivia and I don’t always remember the specific details of why, but this is definitely awesome in my book. It should hopefully open the eyes of religious naysayers of astrology to the universe’s awesome details and secrets. As I’ve mentioned many times before, I learned astrology from my maternal grandfather who was a Baptist minister. He believed. He embraced the universe, and so should you.
What is your favorite Easter memory? Share with us please, below. I’m not really sure if I enjoyed the new dress, hat and gloves but it made my mother happy and proud. I wasn’t much of a dress lover and they were often itchy, or maybe that was the tights I wore with them. I didn’t like eating lamb and I grew very tired of all of those boiled eggs we had to eat for days and days. It was very special in my household growing up. Fond family memories, especially waking up early and running into my big sissy’s room to seek the cellophaned easter baskets the Easter Bunny left us. We always received a new stuffed animal and I loved my stuffies. I still do.
I also loved going to Church and singing hymns like “He Lives” and definitely “The Old Rugged Cross.” But I also believed in the science of astrology because God made the planets and the stars, and us.
Happy Easter ~ I hope you know and relish God’s Love.
Embrace His Universe

My favorite memories are spending timeceith family, but there's one Easter that brings a chuckle to me.
As a teen in the church youth group we were responsible for the Easter Sunruse Service. Well I was "choosen" to deliver the message (sermon) and thisxwas after we decided the subject matter was on the commercialism of Easter. But there was a caveat I had to wear bunny ears and a cotton tail to emphasize the ridiculousness of how commercialized it had become.
